Last week we conducted an experiment to determine how people can hear one audio clip differently. Team member Kelly took one of our recorders and created some “EVPs” for us with phrases that only she knew about. Our team then analyzed the audio to find these “EVPs”. The full results of the experiment will be posted next week as this post is a chance for you to participate as well. Here is one of our EVP style videos using 6 of the evps that Kelly created for this experiment. Each one is played 4 times, once by itself then looped 3 times while displaying 4 possible answers. You will also notice below are 6 polls that correspond to those clips, I would like your input to see what you think each clip says. This is part of the experiment as it will show how people hear things when they are influenced by being told what is said. The polls will close Saturday July 10th at Noon (Eastern Time)

This was a very eye opening and sobering experiment.
I believe the outcome will show that no matter how
meticulous we are in our audio analysis, it all comes down
to the individual listener’s ear. I hope to find out if each
voter went with their first impression of what they heard, or if the power
of suggestion factored into their final vote. Great job Kelly & Rex!
