Demonics are the rarest of hauntings despite what you may have seen on popular tv shows. Considering the rare occurrences of these types of hauntings there is an unusually high number of groups who claim to have a demonologist. If you look at our team member page you will notice that we do not have a demonologist, nor do we want one so please don’t contact us about the job. If you decide that you want a group with a “demonologist” check their credentials and find out how many exorcisms he/she has been involved on. Then ask how many of those exorcisms were recognized by high ranking officials within an organized religion. The truth is that most so-called demonologist’s only credentials are that the have seen “The Exorcist” more than 4 times. I’m sorry but if I’m dealing with a demon I need a little more accredidation than that.
Fortunately demonic possession/hauntings are EXTREMELY rare and in most cases if you are experiencing signs of a haunting it will be one of the types I mentioned in my previous posts.
Now back to how PPS handles a demonic situation, basically we don’t. We are well aware of the dangers of a demonic entity and also that we are not equipped to handle such a being. But I must reiterate that demonics are rare and a level headed group such as ours would probably be beneficial in that we would do everything in our power to prove that it is NOT a demonic. If we are not successful in this we will remove ourselves from the case and suggest getting clergy members involved. If we responded like so many “ghost hunters” do on tv by bringing in holy water and incense while spouting off “the power of Christ compels you”. Those that falsely claim to be able to handle a demonic presence can only make things worse and could endanger their own lives.
That was well thought out, and very well stated. Thank You
Well stated Rex!
There are new paranormal groups surfacing daily. Many are those who have recently been bitten by the Paranormal genre of shows that make up our airwaves. Not that that is a bad thing in and of itself. Some huge research gains in many fields have been discovered by amateurs. The problem arises when these same amateurs hang out a shingle of authority and expertise. They then thrust themselves into other peoples lives and; come what may.
We at PPS never claim to be experts in our field. We present ourselves for what we are to our clients and the community. A group of seasoned researchers driven to learn as much as we can about what lead us to this field while educating our clients about what it is that they are experiencing. We let our clients know that in most cases we are learning while they are.
Herein is where the dividing line lies. Are we equipped to help our clients with something that is negatively affecting their lives, or are we treading on ground that we have no business treading? That is where our stance on Demonic Hauntings comes in play.
As true demonologists are quite rare, we believe that those who purport to having those credentials are fooling themselves. Knowledge of demonic entities names and brandishing holy water and a bible does not qualify the person to make those claims.
There is little danger in a localized haunting, physical danger from running from a paranormal event and falling is most likely the extent. Demonic intrusions are a battle for the soul. Big difference! One that is not only better left to appropriate clergy, it is crucial to employ their use.
I’ll close by imploring anyone with an EMF gauge and digital recorder in hand. Learn as much as you can, enjoy the process, but do not place yourselves in troubled lives until you feel that you can improve those lives before you leave. This is not a game, or just something cool to do. This is real life and what lies beyond.
