A UK paper is reporting that the woman is wearing clothes not seen in today’s fashion, basically she is dressed like Mary Poppins, hovering above the ground without legs and the odd effect on the bottom of the picture is actually ectoplasm.
This of course is not the case as you can see in this picture.
Google’s street view is created by a camera mounted on a vehicle which takes 360 degree digital pictures and then put back together again by their street view program. Sometimes a picture may be missing or slightly different than the one before causing an overlap when put back together. This is exactly what happened here causing this poor woman to briefly lose her legs.

The reported ghost is the odd shape in front of the left window. The homeowners themselves believe this to be a ghost and reported their findings to an Australian paper
This is a different but very common type of glitch caused by Google Maps. Due to privacy concerns Google added an automatic blur feature that would try to recognize things like faces and license plates. Since faces are very tricky to auto-detect sometimes it blurs out things that are not faces at all. This is what I believe is happening here, their program thought that this window should be blurred out and the part of the window that divides the panes(muntins) changes into oval shaped blurs.
I know these aren’t the only cases and probably won’t be the last, as more and more streets are covered by the street view program I’m sure we’ll see many more reports.

I wondered if I was the only person who had spirits or ghosts shown on my home in Google Street View. When people see the views of my home, they generally freak out. Beyond the fence in my backyard is a cemetery. When you view my home straight on you see ½ dozen apparitions and a large white face on the front of the house.
If you look at my house from the side towards the north, you see my dogs head HUGE popping out of the roof. It looks exactly the same as she did when he passed away. It has totally freaked out my family and friends. I don’t feel anything “bad” or negative in my home, but do see orbs on the baby monitor and just two nights ago a person (a/k/a ghost) looked directly in the monitor and turned and walked out of the view. My identical triplet sister thought it was me in the monitor and joked, “Gee am I close enough to the camera?” When she yelled this, I yelled that I was in the living room sitting on the couch and the camera of course is in the bedroom! No one was in the bedroom at the time. My sister thought it was me as the face looked like us! Needless to say, we have been a bit freaked out. We are normal people although I think due to our psychic ability with each other, maybe we are more aware of things. We often see orbs in the new Summer baby monitor which have no explanation. Some float, some pulse like a heart beat, some fly in and out of the north window in the room. They float from the floor to the ceiling, from the ceiling to the floor, across both left to right and right to left. They come in different sizes and some brighter than others and have both been seen with a light on in the room and the entire house blacked out (to rule out interference from any light source). The orbs cannot be seen by the naked eye and only seen on the baby monitor/camera. Our next step is to get a video camera and see if that will capture the orbs.
It’s weird that we cannot visually see the orbs, however, was able to see a person in the monitor which obviously was very “real” looking as my sister thought it was one of the other sisters/triplets. There was no possible way this happened as my sister and I were in the living room on the couch and the one viewing the person on camera was upstairs (on her way downstairs) and as I stated, the camera was in the bedroom (on the same floor as the living room).
I should note that not only do we live adjacent to the cemetery, but the bedroom that is capturing the orbs is being utilized by our mom who is terminally ill.
We have no explanations and really are searching at this point. We are not scared, but it’s pretty unsettling that one of us saw a person/ghost very clearly. We are quite fascinated by the orbs and we do not feel any anomosity or ill feelings.
We are curious if any one else has experienced this?
Thanks for the comment. There have been many reports of ghosts/anomalies on google street view pictures as in this post. But in these cases you can see that these are either defects caused by 2 different pictures merging together which makes it appear as if a woman is floating or a digital zoom which distorts the pane separators.
