I joined PPS in the hope of finding the truth about “Life after Death.” Why do some spirits stay and some move on? Are spirits lost or can they come and go? So many questions and not enough answers. I have had my own experiences with several different spirits since I was five. And I always wished there was a paranormal group to call on. Even 10 years ago paranormal experiences was still to hard for people to admit. Which made it hard for me to talk about openly. I relied more on TV and books to help me understand what I was being witnessed too. Now along with PPS I have the opportunity to help do the research to find the answers and to provide support for those people who need help.

Profession: I am a Hospice Nurse and have been in nursing for 19 years.

I shoot pool on a Women’s Pool League in Glen Burnie. We just won Women’s Championship 2011 in our divison. And I am now considered a full fledged Karoke singer. (Whatever that means:))

While some voted that the spirits do want to be contacted most felt that some want to be contacted while others do not. This seems pretty consistent with what we have experienced during our investigations as well. As you know the majority of our evidence comes in EVP form and a good deal of these audio files sound like they are the direct result of our being there. Some want us there and try to make contact by saying “HEY” or “HI”, in fact we capture “HEY” more than any other word during our investigations. Listen to the following examples captured from some of our cases through the years of spirits that want interaction.

Others seem to suggest that they want to be left alone or that they don’t want us to know they are there.

When we first read the claims that Stacey and Marcie detailed in their haunting report we approached it with our usual skepticism and open mindedness. We did not expect to experience one of the more active homes that we have ever encountered. During our first visit we learned of all of their experiences since moving into the house and were able watch something they caught on their video camera. The video that they captured was unbelievable to the point where our jaws dropped. We asked for a copy to analyze and see if we could lighten it up any and what we found was more amazing than what even Stacey and Marcie were expecting. Our analysis turned up a second instance where an unseen force seems to jump across the bed and then materializes as it leaps off to the side.  This allowed us to proceed with a full investigation of the property and then a follow up a few months later. Unfortunately neither of our investigations turned up anything on video, but we were able to capture some impressive EVPs.

Somewhere in between our 2 investigations we decided to bring Stacey on as an investigator and she will be taking her first lead assignment on a case coming up in the next few months.

In December Stacey and Marcie traveled to Hollywood to tell their story to the Biography Channel. You may be asking yourself why I am posting this as Pasadena Paranormal has never posted anything related to astrology, geology, weather patterns or psychic predictions. Well the truth is that there are several theories, some good some bad, about paranormal activity in relation to the phases of the moon.  As a young group we have not had the chance to study the effects extensively enough to come to any sort of conclusion. But I can confirm that we have seen a recent increase in reported hauntings over the past month which is unusual for this time of year, normally we see more in the summer and fall months than in the spring. What do you think is it possible that this so called super moon could have an effect on the level of paranormal activity?

Unfortunately people who make up things like this give the rest of us believers a bad name. Let me know what you think.

Why did you join Pasadena Paranormal?
I have always had an interest in the paranormal, long before reality television brought the subject into our living rooms with the plethora of shows about ghost hunting. Ghost stories have always captured my interest and since I recently moved to Pasadena a few years ago, Pasadena Paranormal seemed a good choice. After lurking through their website and realizing that this group is more about helping those experiencing the paranormal then thrill seeking, I decided I would like to be a member of this group.

Have you ever had a paranormal experience before joining PPS?

Once on a ghost tour in Williamsburg, Virginia, I experienced what felt like someone touching and tickling my ear. It was a very strange sensation and no logical reason since no one was behind me to do so. Not sure if it was paranormal or not but certainly strange.

What do you hope the group achieves?
My hope for the group is to continue to help those who may be experiencing difficulties in their life because of possible paranormal activity and to possibly provide some answers to the questions surrounding this topic.

What do you hope to achieve for yourself?

My goal is also to help others in my community and possibly answer the questions I have about the paranormal.

I would like to hear some opinions on this, do you think this could shed some new light on how the Catholic church handles reports of demonic possession? or will this just be another breeding ground for the crazies who want their fifteen minutes of fame?
